Commbank Foundation Grassroots Grant

Riding for the Disabled Tall Timbers Centre is being provided with $10,000 per annum in support from the Commbank Foundation over three years. The money is raised through Commbank Foundation’s employee giving program which has been running for 100 years. Their donations are matched dollar for dollar by the bank and the money is donated to youth focused community organisations across Australia. Tall Timbers will use the funds to set up a framework to incorporate Allied Health Professionals to enhance outcomes in our therapeutic equine based programs for people with disabilities – an exciting new project for our Centre. Very professionally run program....lovely people....and the horses are beautiful!

This program has benefited her so much. Even years ago, when she barely left the house, and we had to start homeschooling, this was a constant for her. Even then we had days where we had to cancel due to her anxiety. Now to see her go without anxiety, communicate with the volunteers on her own (I've actively tried to step back) and even cope with trotting (previously a lot of movement would cause panic). It is nothing short of amazing.
